The Klan, Capital, And The Cross: How White Supremacy Used The Democrats, Tartgeted The Jewish Community, And Lives On In New Forms

INTRODUCTION

Don’t Let Slick-Talking Politicians Or Half-Informed Pundits Twist History To Suit Their Narrative. If We’re Gonna Deal With The Disease Of White Supremacy, We’ve Got To Tell The Truth—All Of It. The Ku Klux Klan Was Born Out Of Hatred, And Yes, In Its Early Years, It Had Ties To The Democratic Party. But Let’s Be Clear: This Ain’t About Party Loyalty—It’s About Power, It’s About Race, And It’s About The Systems That Keep Poor And Oppressed People Divided While The Ruling Class Stays Protected.

From Reconstruction To The Civil Rights Movement, From Burning Crosses To Economic Sabotage, The Klan Has Never Just Been About Hoods And Ropes. It’s Been About White Supremacy Weaponized—Against Black Folks, Against Jews, Against Immigrants, And Anyone Who Stood In The Way Of Their Vision Of America: White, Christian, Capitalist, And Obedient.

Let’s Lay The Facts Bare. No Slogans. No Spin. Just Truth.

PART I: THE KLAN AND THE DEMOCRATS—A MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE

The KKK Came Crawling Out Of The Ashes Of The Civil War, Founded By Confederate Veterans In 1865. Their Mission? Kill Reconstruction. Suppress Black Power. Reinstate White Dominance. And Who Were They Aligned With? Southern Democrats—The Party Of The Slave Owners, The Party Of The Plantation, The Party That Fought Tooth And Nail To Keep Black Folks Enslaved And Then Disenfranchised.

During Reconstruction, The Republican Party (The Radical One, Not Today’s Version) Was Pushing For Black Liberation, Civil Rights, And The Dismantling Of The Slave Economy. The Klan Responded With Terror. They Became The Muscle For Southern Democrats, Using Lynchings, Arson, And Beatings To Enforce Racial Apartheid.

So Yes—The KKK Was Tied To The Democratic Party In The 19th Century. But Don’t Get It Twisted. That Wasn’t About Ideology—It Was About White Power. And When The Democrats Stopped Serving That Function, The Klan Moved On. Because They Never Cared About Party. They Cared About Maintaining The Racial And Class Order.

PART II: ANTISEMITISM—THE OTHER TARGET OF WHITE HATE

You Wanna Understand The Klan, You Better Understand This: They Didn’t Just Come For Black Folks. They Came For The Jews, Too. And Not Just Out Of Religious Hostility—But Because Of What They Believed Jews Represented In Society.

The Klan Believed That Jews Were Racially Separate From White Christians And Posed A Cultural And Economic Threat To What They Saw As Traditional American Life. They Believed Jews Controlled Banking, Finance, And The Media. They Viewed Jews As Disloyal To The Nation And Tied To International Movements Like Communism Or Radicalism.

These Beliefs Shaped The Klan’s Broader Worldview: One Where White Protestants Were Under Siege And Needed To Reclaim Control Of The Country’s Political, Economic, And Moral Institutions.

PART III: THE KLAN’S CONNECTION TO HITLER AND NAZI GERMANY

Now Let’s Take It Global. What Happens When That Same Ideology Gets Industrialized, Militarized, And Written Into Law? You Get Nazi Germany.

Hitler Built His Empire On The Belief That Jews Were Responsible For Germany’s Decline. One Of The Laws He Passed Banned Interest On Loans—Both As A Measure To Stimulate The Economy And As A Way To Target Jews. In Nazi Ideology, Interest-Bearing Loans Were Associated With Jewish Financial Practices, And Eliminating Them Was Seen As A Way To Weaken Jewish Influence And Gain Popular Support.

As One Rabbi Put It, “Yes, Hitler Banned Interest On Loans Because Of The Jews—Not For Their Benefit, But To Target Them Under The Mask Of Reform.” That’s The Logic Of White Supremacy: Wrap Hatred In Policy, And Call It Protection.

The Connection Between The Klan And The Nazis Wasn’t Just Spiritual—It Was Ideological. Both Saw The World Through A Lens Of Racial Purity And National Decline. Both Blamed Minority Groups—Jews, Black People, Immigrants—For Economic Hardship, Moral Decay, And Social Unrest. Both Glorified A Mythic Past Where Their Kind Ruled Without Question. And Both Used Fear, Violence, And Fabricated History To Rally The Masses Behind Them. Different Flags. Same Enemy. Same Playbook.

And Whether It’s Nazi Germany Blaming Jews For Inflation, Or The KKK Blaming Them For Moral Decline, Or Political Figures Today Blaming Immigrants For Economic Stress—The Game Is Always The Same: Divide And Distract.

PART IV: REALIGNMENT AND THE GREAT SWITCH

After The Civil Rights Movement Lit A Fire Under This Country, Things Changed. Democratic Leaders Like Kennedy And Johnson Pushed For Civil Rights. That’s When The Old Southern Democrats—The Dixiecrats—Started Running Scared. They Couldn’t Stomach Integration, Couldn’t Stand Equality.

Enter The Southern Strategy. The Republican Party, Under Nixon And Others, Said, “We’ll Take Those Angry White Votes.” And They Did. The South Flipped. Not Overnight—But Over Years. The Party That Once Fought Slavery Became The New Home For Racial Resentment.

Meanwhile, The Klan Didn’t Care What Letters Were Next To Your Name. They Just Followed The Hate. When The Democrats Started Embracing Civil Rights, The Klan Ditched Them. When The GOP Started Dog-Whistling Segregation, The Klan Cheered.

Because It Was Never About Party—It Was About Power.

PART V: DONALD TRUMP AND THE MODERN MASK OF THE KLAN

If The Klan Of Old Wore White Hoods, The Modern Version Wears Red Hats.

Donald Trump Didn’t Invent Racism In America—But He Sure As Hell Gave It A Microphone, A Spotlight, And A Seat At The Table. And Let’s Be Real: His Relationship To The Klan Isn’t Just Symbolic—It’s Historical, Ideological, And Strategic.

Back In 1927, Trump’s Own Father, Fred Trump, Was Arrested At A Klan Rally In Queens, New York. That’s Not Guilt By Association—That’s Roots. Fast Forward To 2016, When Donald Trump Was Asked To Disavow Former KKK Leader David Duke. His Response? “I Don’t Know Anything About David Duke.” A Lie. A Calculated Dodge. A Signal To The Base.

Throughout His Campaign And Presidency, Trump Echoed The Same Talking Points The Klan Used For Decades:

• Blaming Immigrants For Job Loss

• Painting Black Protestors As Violent Threats

• Describing Jews As Global Manipulators Or “Disloyal” To America

• Defending White Nationalists In Charlottesville As Having “Very Fine People On Both Sides”

And It Wasn’t Just Rhetoric—It Was Policy. Muslim Bans. Border Walls. Attacks On Voting Rights. Dog Whistles Turned Into Megaphones.

The Klan Didn’t Need To March In Robes When Their Worldview Had A Podium At The White House.

Just Like The Klan Used Religion, Nationalism, And Fear To Mobilize Poor White Folks Against Their Black And Jewish Neighbors, Trump Used Economic Anxiety And Racial Resentment To Rally A Movement Built On Division, Dominance, And Denial. He Gave The System New Life, New Style, And Plausible Deniability.

But Don’t Be Fooled. Whether It’s Jim Crow Or MAGA, White Supremacy Knows How To Shapeshift.

PART VI: THE NEED FOR BLACK POLITICAL AUTONOMY—A CALL FOR INDEPENDENCE

Malcolm X Understood Something The Politicians Of Today Still Fail To Grasp: Black People Cannot Keep Voting For The Same Political Systems That Consistently Fail To Address Their Needs. As He Said, “The White Liberal Is The Most Dangerous Enemy To Black People Because They Are The Ones Who Disguise Their Oppression.” It’s Time We Stop Asking For Scraps From Tables That Weren’t Meant For Us In The First Place.

The Two Main Parties—Democrats And Republicans—Are More Interested In Maintaining A Status Quo Of Systemic Oppression Than In Fixing The Problems That Plague Black Communities. Both Sides Talk A Good Game When It Comes To Civil Rights, But When The Rubber Meets The Road, They Prioritize The Interests Of The Elite.

We Need Our Own Political Force. A Force That Does Not Owe Allegiance To The Corporate Donors Or The Established Political Order. A Force That Speaks Directly To The Issues Of Black People, Working-Class Communities, And All Who Are Oppressed By This System.

That’s Where The Proto African Party For Anarchism (P.A.P.A.) Comes In. This Movement Is Not About Finding A Home In One Of The Two Major Political Parties—It’s About Creating A New Vision: A Political And Social Structure Rooted In Autonomy, Community Empowerment, And The Dismantling Of Capitalist Oppression. P.A.P.A. Rejects The Outdated Frameworks Of The Mainstream, Carving A Path Toward True Liberation. It’s Time To Build Something New—Not Just A Third Party, But An Entirely New Approach To Political Power.

PART VII: THE ROLE OF SOLIDARITY IN GAINING WHITE SUPPORT FOR REPARATIONS

Solidarity Isn’t Just About Standing Hand-In-Hand With Your Neighbors. It’s About Recognizing That The Fight For Reparations Requires More Than Just Black Voices—It Needs White Support To Break Through The System Of Denial That’s Been Built Over Centuries. But Let’s Not Fool Ourselves—Solidarity Is Not Given Freely. It Must Be Earned. It Must Be Fought For.

White People, Especially Those Who Are Middle Or Upper Class, Need To Hear The Truth—The Brutal, Unfiltered History Of What Black Americans Endured During Slavery And Jim Crow. For Too Long, This History Has Been Buried Beneath Layers Of Complacency, Political Convenience, And Revisionist Narratives. But We Can No Longer Afford To Allow This To Continue.

We Need To Confront The Reality Of Slavery And The Terror Of Jim Crow America Head-On.

Lynchings Weren’t Just Public Hangings—They Were Brutal Spectacles Of Torture. They Were Acts Of White Supremacy Meant To Dehumanize And Instill Fear In Black Communities. But The Terror Didn’t Stop At The Rope. There Were Disembowelments, With Victims Having Their Insides Ripped Out While Alive, Castrations After Lynchings, And Grotesque Acts Like Feeding Black Babies To Alligators For Sport. These Atrocities Were Commonplace.

The Lynching Of Black Men, Women, And Children Was A Way To Maintain A Racial Hierarchy Through Violence. White Society Cheered On These Acts, While The State Either Ignored Or Actively Supported Them. This Brutal Legacy Cannot Be Separated From The Conversation About Reparations—It Is Central To Understanding The Trauma That Persists.
